Lathers well. Cleans a man’s skin pretty good. Easy on the nose.I'm not one who necessarily likes to view things like body washes as being gendered and honestly ordered this hoping my husband and I could both use it after reading the scent notes, and thinking we would both enjoy the smell. When it arrived, I eagerly cracked it open and gave it a sniff but was personally pretty disappointed. It did not smell like how I imagined based on the scent description. So I brought it over to my husband and told him that the body wash I ordered was "not that great after all". He smelled it thoroughly for almost a minute before announcing that he liked it! He also laughed and said he thought it was definitely more of a "man smell" and told me that this product was also "clearly packaged and branded for men"."It's called BEAST!" he said. "And look at the packaging.""I could also be a beast," I retorted.Nonetheless, I really appreciate that Beast does not go out of their way to market this as "Body Wash for Men" in their product description or title and allows the consumer to decide for themselves, as my husband and I have sometimes liked products that were being marketed to the opposite gender on Amazon even though they were honestly gender neutral - and it just made it more difficult to find what we were looking for. Women who appreciate a more cologne-type scent or musky-citrus scent might enjoy this.I tend to like citrus and wood scents a lot (those are the types of essential oils I diffuse the most), but the musky cologne-like smell in this was too prominent for my personal taste. Thankfully, hubby loves it and will use it!My husband also said he liked the design of the paint splatter on the packaging.Aside from that, I do think that the price is too steep for a 16 oz refill pouch. We current get our refill body wash pouches from a clean and sustainable brand for about half this price - and it comes in a 34 oz pouch, and in a scent that both of us love. For the price and size of the refill, I think this is definitely more of a luxury purchase if you really love the smell!I have no problem spending a good amount of money on things like body wash or bath products if they are well made and good quality. So while this Beast Gold Wash Refill Pouch is rather expensive for a body wash, it is totally worth it if you like the scent.Personally I really like the scent. It’s woody and has a sort of tobacco and peppery scent to it. It’s definitely more of a manly scent, but I like manly scents so both me and my son have been using this. The quality of this seams good as well, it suds up well and you don’t need a ton of product. I would definitely suggest getting a refillable container though and not using it out of the pouch since the pouch can easily rip over and spill, and it also tends to dispense more product than you need. Overall nice product! This is a wonderful soap that smells like high-quality men’s cologne. I was a little surprised because I saw the natural ingredients like Comfrey, Guarana, Chamomile, Calendula, Fireweed, and Rosemary. I was hoping it would be a natural scent, but it is quite a strong perfume scent. I did not notice at the very end of the ingredient list that it has added synthetic “fragrance”. It is a very nice scent, but not exactly what I was expecting. They say the scent is of lemon zest, herbal, matcha tea, peppercorn, woody, oak moss, musk, and tobacco. I am not sure I smell those first 3 scents, but it definetly has a peppercorn/woody/tobacco men’s cologne smell.I think it’s a great price and comes in an environmentally correct packageThis is a refill pouch and the cap had dried soap on it but it did not leak in the shipping box so I am not sure if it had leaked in the warehouse. The scent of this body wash is pleasant, woodsy and manly but not overly so and it does not linger. It produces a nice amount of suds and it is not drying. It leaves my skin clean and very soft. I just wish that it was less pricey. Thanks for reading this review. I hope that my comments are helpful. Enjoy your day! ?This review is for Beast Gold Wash Refill Pouch.I prefer a bottle over a bag. Trying to shower with a bag is cumbersome. My real complaint though is that it's not any different than less expensive body washes so the price seems a little confusing. It lathers okay and the smell is fine but I didn't notice anything about it that made it seem worth more than other body soaps. This is meant to be a refill for Beast reusable containers which start at about ten dollars. We did not use a beast container but one we already had and it worked just fine. This is a nice sized pouch with an easy to open and pour spout that fits into most normal bottle openings with ease. It smells very fresh and clean while maintains a nice manly smell. I think my husband smells so good after washing in it. How much better can it get when you can smell good, feel clean and help save the planet with less waste!?!Didn't know much about the brand or the product, but wanted to try it given the unique "bottle" it came in. This is an interesting product. First, is the bag it comes in. I'm not sure if it's a refill or a stand alone product. I like the idea and thought it was easy enough to use as is in the bag. Next is the product itself - a body wash and shampoo. This as the texture of a creamy, thick shampoo. However, I thought it didn't lather as good as most shampoo and fell more on the body wash side. I used a wash cloth. The scent is different - I'm not sure how to classify it. It is citrusy, but more like lemongrass than orange, limes or lemons. I think given it's price, I think I'd pass on this one and get separate body wash and shampoo and have some money leftover.
